Pioneers Tie for Fourth at Duhawk Spring Invite
DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team battled the elements and some tough competition this weekend at Loras’ Duhawk Spring Invitational hosted at The Meadows Golf Club. The Pioneers finished with a combined score of +158, tying for fourth place of the nine competing teams after two rounds.

The Pioneers finished with a combined score of +158, tying for fourth place of the nine competing teams after two rounds.
The Pioneers were led by junior Taylor Swalve who combined rounds of 85 and 86 strokes to finish individually sixth overall. Finishing five places behind was sophomore Danielle Bruecker with a two-day total of 177 strokes (81, 96).
Finishing third for the Pioneers and 20th overall was junior Madison Berg shooting rounds of 89 and 95 for a total of 184 strokes. Junior Hannah Tysse finished with 202 strokes (94, 108) to place 32nd and junior Emma Slattery finished 43rd with 238 strokes (121, 117).
The Pioneers will return to action on Friday, April 25 when they head to UW-Whitewater's Spring Invite in Janesville, Wis.
