Pioneers Place Fifth at WIAC Championship
REEDSBURG, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished fifth of eight teams at the three-day Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship (presented by Culver’s) held at the Reedsburg Country Club. The Pioneers shot a 54-hole team score of 1014 after rounds of 330, 341, and 343.

The Pioneers shot a 54-hole team score of 1014 after rounds of 330, 341, and 343.
UW-Whitewater finished first as a team shooting 958 and UW-Stouts Julia Imai took first individually, with a score of +13 (229).
Tying for 11th, junior Taylor Swalve was the highest finisher for UW-Platteville, shooting a three-day total of 245 (80, 82, 83).
Junior Madison Berg also finished inside the top 20 as she placed 17th after a score of 250 (83, 84, 83). Senior Jada Chang finished third for the Pioneers as shot rounds of 83, 86, and 89 for a total of 258.
Freshman Chloe Chappell finished 44th overall in her first WIAC Championship shooting 264 (84, 92, 88). Not far behind was sophomore Danielle Bruecker who rounded out the scoring golfers for UW-Platteville with a three-round total of 266 (88, 89, 89).
Competing as individuals and in their final conference championship were seniors Emma Cage who placed 58th with a score of 276 (91, 95, 90) and Morgan Cooley who finished 68th with a total of 290 (101, 93, 96).
Following the event, Chang was named to the All-Sportsmanship team during the post event awards.
