Women’s golf competes at Warhawk Invite
MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished strong to place in the top-15 at the stacked UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invite, held at TPC Wisconsin in Madison.

After a rainy first round on Sunday, the Pioneers shaved 29 strokes off their first round to jump two places on the leaderboard. Centre shot +43 for a 36-hole score of 611. The Pioneers finished with a team score of 701 following rounds of 365 and 336.
Junior Madison Berg finished 53rd of 96 golfers with rounds of 90 and 78, leading the Pioneers with a score of 168.
Finishing next for UW-Platteville was junior Taylor Swalve who combined rounds of 88 and 85 for a total of 173 to take 62nd.
Senior Jada Chang finished 74th with 179 (93, 86) and freshman Chloe Chappell tallied 182 strokes (95,87) to finish 77th. Senior Emma Cage rounded out the Pioneers' five golfers with 187 (94, 93).
The Pioneers will take a week off as they prepare for their 54-hole conference tournament held October 4-6 at the Reedsburg Country Club.
