Pioneers take second place at Firebird Invite

KENOSHA, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team concluded its 2023-24 season on Monday, finishing second of eight teams at Carthage College's Firebird Invite at The Club at Strawberry Creek. 

The Pioneers finished with 351 strokes after the round of 18. Aurora University took first with a score of 331 strokes. 

Sophomore Madison Berg and freshman Danielle Bruecker paced the Pioneers and tied for sixth individually with 86 strokes. 

One stroke behind and tying for eight individually was sophomore Taylor Swalve with 87 strokes. 

Junior Emma Cage finished with 92 strokes which placed her tied for 16^th individually. Junior Jada Chang also finished in the Top-20 with a round of 95 strokes.
