Pioneers place third at Viking Invitational
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team set a new 36-hole school record over the weekend with a total of 647 strokes at the Highland Springs Golf Course. Three Pioneers finished with personal-bests as UW-Platteville finished third of eight teams after rounds of 321 and 326 on Friday and Saturday.

Three Pioneers finished with personal-bests as UW-Platteville finished third of eight teams after rounds of 321 and 326 on Friday and Saturday.
Finishing fourth individually, sophomore Taylor Swalve paced the Pioneers with 156 strokes after rounds of 79 and a personal-best 77.
Also finishing with a career-best was sophomore Madison Berg who combined rounds of 81 and 83 for a total of 164 strokes.
The final three Pioneers all finished with a two-round total of 166 strokes. Junior Jada Change finished with rounds of 84 and 82, freshman Danielle Bruecker combined rounds of 79 and 87 and junior Emma Cage had a personal-best on Friday with a round of 82 strokes and shot 84 the next day.
Competing as individuals was junior Nicole Sedam who shot 89 on Friday and then 92 on Saturday (181) and sophomore Hannah Tysse who combined 103 and a personal-best 91 for a total of 194 strokes.
The Pioneers will wrap up their season on Monday, April 29 at Carthage's Redbird Invite in Kenosha at The Club at Strawberry Creek.
