Pioneers Finish Fall Season at WIAC Championship
REEDSBURG, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished fourth out of eight teams at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship (presented by Culver’s) contested at Reedsburg Country Club. The Pioneers shot a 54-hole team score of 1025 after rounds of 346, 342 and 337.

The Pioneers shot a 54-hole team score of 1025 after rounds of 346, 342 and 337.
It is the highest team finish by the Pioneers since the 2015 fourth place finish.
Senior Josie Alm ended her fall season shooting a three-day total of 248. Alm shot rounds of 83, 84 and 81. Alm finished tied for 11th overall of 66 golfers.
Finishing second for the Pioneers was freshman Danielle Bruecker after a tournament total of 258 (83-87-88). Rounding out the team's top five was sophomore Taylor Swalve shooting 262 (86 – 87-89), sophomore Madison Berg with a 263 (94-88-81) and junior Jada Chang shooting 265 (94-84-87).
Competing as individuals for the Pioneers were freshman Gabriella Ziegler shooting 290 (96, 101-93), sophomore Morgan Cooley with a 295 (92, 101, 93) and junior Emma Cage shooting 302 (108, 101, 93).
UW-Whitewater finished first overall after 54 holes with a score of 959. Abbey Filipiak of UW-Stout captured the individual title after shooting 225 (75-77-73).
