Pioneers Compete at Mad Dawg Invite
STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished fifth out of nine teams at the UW-Stevens Point Mad Dawg Invite held at Sentry World Golf Course. After a nine-hole round on Saturday of 188 and an 18-hole round on Sunday of 358, the Pioneers finished with a 27-hole team score of 546.

After a nine-hole round on Saturday of 188 due to a rain delay and an 18-hole round on Sunday of 358, the Pioneers finished with a 27-hole team score of 546.
For the second consecutive weekend, freshman Danielle Bruecker paced the Pioneers shooting 42 on Saturday and 84 the next round for a total of 131 strokes. Bruecker tied for 16th overall as an individual.
Sophomore Madison Berg and senior Josie Alm also finished in the top-25 golfers. Berg shot rounds of 44 and 92 for a total of 136 strokes. Alm finished one stroke behind Berg with 137 (51, 86).
Also competing for the Pioneers was sophomore Taylor Swalve finishing with 143 (47, 96) and junior Jada Chang shooting 146 (50, 96).
The Pioneers will wrap up their fall season at the 54-hole WIAC Championship which begins Friday, Oct. 6 at the Reedsburg Country Club in Reedsburg, Wisconsin.
