Pioneers open season at Shootout on the Border
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team opened its 2017 season at Carthage College’s Shootout on the Border Sept. 1-2.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team opened its 2017 season at Carthage College's Shootout on the Border Sept. 1-2. The Pioneers finished in 14th place out of 17 teams in the two-day competition, defeating Calvin College, Judson University and Wisconsin Lutheran. UW-Whitewater finished in first.
Senior Lindsay Neitzel led the Pioneers with a two-day total of 171, low enough to tie for 19th place out of more than 100 golfers. Sophomore Alysse Elko finished with a two-day total of 184, and freshman Kaley Mumma finished one stroke behind with a score of 185.
