Baribeau sets school record at final day of WIAC Championship

NEKOOSA, Wis. -- Stephanie Baribeau made school history and tied the WIAC Championship record with a round of 71 on the final day of the conference tournament, as the University of Wisconsin-Platteville golf team placed fifth at the WIAC Championship at the Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa, Wisconsin on Sunday.
Baribeau shot a tournament-low 71, setting the school record for the lowest round and tied the WIAC Championship record. She finished the three-day event tied for sixth with a total score of 250 (+34).
Sydney Kilcoin placed 20th with a score of 265 (+49), followed by Taylor Egnarski with a score of 277 (+61), good for 26th place. Katie Gregorich, who was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team, finished tied for 30th with a total of 286 (+70), while Rachel Hopkins recorded a 293 (+77) for the weekend, good for 36th-place.
UW-Stout claimed the WIAC Championship with a score of 966 (+102), while the Pioneers ended the three-day event with a 1071 (+207).
The tournament wraps up the fall portion of the schedule for the Pioneers, who will return to the links for the spring schedule in April.
