Pioneer Golf improves on final day of UWW Invite
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville golf team shot 40 strokes better on the final day of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational than the opening round, finishing ninth out of 13 teams on Saturday.
DELAVAN, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville golf team shot 40 strokes better on the final day of the UW-Whitewater Fall Invitational than the opening round, finishing ninth out of 13 teams on Saturday.
The Pioneers carded a 344 on the their final round compared to Friday's 384. Sophomore Stephanie Baribeau finished tied for 17, shooting +22 (85-83=168), while Sydney Kilcoin improved her score by 14 strokes to finish tied for 43rd (98-84=182). Katie Gregorich placed tied for 50th, finishing the two-day event with an 188 (99-89). Taylor Egnarski carded the Pioneers' third best round on Saturday with an 88 and finished tied for 54th (102-88=190).
The Pioneers return to action on Saturday at the Mad Dawg Invitational, hosted by UW-Stevens Point.
