Kilcoin leads the way at Duhawk Spring Invite
The UW-Platteville golf team finished third out of six teams at the Duhawk Spring Invitational on Monday. The event started on Sunday and due to inclement weather the first round finished up on Monday. The final round were cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville golf team finished third out of six teams at the Duhawk Spring Invitational on Monday. The event started on Sunday, but due to inclement weather the first round finished up on Monday. The final round was then cancelled due to poor weather conditions.
The Pioneers totaled a 481 and were 24 strokes behind first-place Luther.
Individually, freshman Sydney Kilcoin finished in second with an 86 (+15). She played a very strong front nine, tallying six pairs to be five over through nine. Kilcoin capped off her strong performance with a birdie on 18.
Sophomore Taylor Egnarski carded 93 (+22), good for eighth-place, while Katie Gregorich finished three shots behind, tied for 14th. Stephanie Baribeau and Ashley Morales rounded out the Pioneers' top five, each recording 103 (+32).
