Golf competes at IWU Spring Fling
The UW-Platteville women's golf team finished in 19th place of 19 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling at Ironwood Golf Course on Sunday.
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished in 19th place of 19 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling at Ironwood Golf Course on Sunday.
The Pioneers totaled a 377 on Sunday, which was 20 strokes better than their opening round of 397.
Individually, freshman Stephanie Baribeau ended the two-day event extremely strong, shooting an 86 in the final day after a 99 on the first day (185). Classmate Sydney Kilcoin led the team on Saturday with a 96, and then finished with a score of 93 (189). Ashley Morales carded a 198 (100-98) in the 36-hole event, while Katie Gregorich totaled a 202 (102-100).
The Pioneers return to the links on April 27 at the Duhawk Spring Invitational, hosted by Loras.
