Golf in seventh-place after first day of Mad Dawg Invite
The UW-Platteville women’s golf team finished its first day of the Mad Dawg Invitational in seventh-place out of 11 teams on Saturday in Stevens Point, Wis.
STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished its first day of the Mad Dawg Invitational in seventh-place out of 11 teams on Saturday in Stevens Point, Wis.
Conference foe UW-Stout leads the invitational with a team score of 316 (+24), while the Pioneer shot a 366 (+74), good for seventh-place.
Individually, sophomore Taylor Egnarski led the Pioneers with an 86 (+13), tied for 11th. Junior Katie Gregorich shot an opening round of 90 (+17) and tied for 24th. Freshmen duo Stephanie Baribeau and Sydney Kilcoin both carded a 95 (+22) and tied for 38th-place. Ashley Morales was just three strokes back from the freshmen and is in 46th-place.
The Pioneers will finish the 36-hole invitational hosted by UW-Stevens Point on Sunday.
