Golf places sixth at UWW Fall Classic
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams at the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic on Saturday.
WHITEWATER, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams at the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic on Saturday.
The Pioneers scored a 704 while Carthage carded a 653 for first-place.
Individually, freshman Stephanie Baribeau was just three strokes away from the top-10 with a 169 score in the 36-hole tournament. Sophomore Taylor Egnarski scored a 86 on the first day then a 88 on Saturday for 174 total, which was just eight strokes for finishing in the top-10. Freshman Sydney Kilcoin continued her excellent fall season with a 175 overall score. Junior Katie Gregorich rounded out the Pioneers top-four with a 94 on Friday and improved two strokes on Saturday for a total of 186.
The Pioneers return to the links on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Mad Dawg Invitational, hosted by UW-Stevens Point.
