Kilcoin cards a 78 on final day of IWU Fall Classic
Freshman Sydney Kilcoin became the first the UW-Platteville women's golfer to card a round under 80 during the 2013 season, as the Pioneers as a team finished tied for 19th out of 21 teams at the IWU Fall Classic on Sunday.
Normal, Ill. – Freshman Sydney Kilcoin became the first University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golfer to card a round under 80 during the 2013 season, as the Pioneers as a team finished tied for 19th out of 21 teams at the IWU Fall Classic on Sunday.
William Woods JV won the invitational carding a 304 (+16) on the first day and 320 (+32), while the Pioneers recorded a 363 (+75) on both days.
Individually, Kilcoin led the Pioneers by recording a season-low 78 and totaled a 158 for the weekend finishing tied for 12th. Fellow rookie Stephanie Baribeau improved her score of 84 (+12) from the first-day to an 82 (+10) and finished tied for 42nd. Junior Katie Gregorich finished in 81st-place, while senior Stacy Heiling placed tied for 110.
The Pioneers return to the links on Friday at the UW-Whitewater Fall Classic in Delavan, Wis.
