UW-Platteville Tied for 4th after Day One of Illinois College Invitational
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team finds itself in a tie for fourth with Rend Lake College after the first day of the Illinois College Invitational.
In the first tournament of the fall, the Pioneers shot a 357, just 16 strokes back of tournament leader Indiana Tech, shot a 341. UW-Platteville is led by Kelsey Lieving, who is tied for 10th after posting an 85. Megan Garrison of Indiana Tech is the individual leader with a 79.
For the rest of the UW-Platteville lineup, Kellsey Welter and Taylor Egnarski are in the top 25. Welter is tied for 13th with an 87 and Egnarski is tied for 24th with a 91. Katie Gregorich and Stacy Heiling are tied for 35th (94) and 50th (99), respectively.
The Pioneers will return to The Links in Jacksonville, Illinois on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. for the final round.
