Pioneer Women's Golf Tied for 5th After Day One of 2012 Mad Dawg Invite
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's golf team is
tied for fifth after Saturday's opening round of the 2012 Mad
Dawg Invite hosted by UW-Stevens Point at Stevens Point Country
Club in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
The Pioneers shot an opening round 371 to share fifth-place honors
with host UW-Stevens Point. UW-Stout leads the 11-team field with a
334 for a 11-stroke advantage heading into Saturday's final round.
For UW-Platteville, they are led by freshman Taylor Egnarski, who
posted an opening round 88. Seniors Kellsey Welter and Kelsey
Lieving are 26th (92) and tied for 29th (94), respectively.
Sophomore Katie Gregorich shares 35th place after posting a 97 and
junior Stacy Heiling is 49th after a 111.
The Pioneers and the field will play a final round on Sunday as its the final tournament before
next weekend's WIAC Championships.
