Pawelski paces Pioneers

Tricia Pawelski placed fifth among 39 golfers, leading UW-Platteville to third place at the seven-school UW-Oshkosh Invitational.

Pawelski shot a 170 over the two-day event, finishing six shots back of medalist Danelle Olson.

Olson's UW-Stevens Point team won the tournament with a 674, followed by UW-Whitewater with 681, UWP 718, Carroll 724, UW-Oshkosh 757, Ripon 762, and St. Norbert 810.

Kellsey Welter shot 178 to place 13th for the Pioneers, while Kelsey Lieving was 16th with 182, Kerrie Liske 24th with 194, and Ellyn Subak 30th with 199. Helen Wilson, playing as a wild-card, was 20th with 188.
