Mackiewicz Tabbed D3hoops.com All-Region Third Team

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Sophomore Ella Mackiewicz of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team was named to the 2023-24 D3hoops.com All-Region 9 Third Team it was announced on Tuesday.

Mackiewicz, who recently earned All-WIAC honors, put together a sophomore campaign that saw her finish fourth in the conference in scoring at 15.7 points per game. The Shawnee, Kansas native started all 26 games, shot 50.2 percent from the floor, and was second on the team with 5.3 rebounds per game. Mackiewicz tallied a pair of double-doubles and scored a season-high 25 points in a two-point win over UW-River Falls on February 3. She reached the 20-point plateau in seven contests and was named WIAC Player of the Week in early December following a 23-point game against Lake Forest.
