Pioneers’ Domask named to WBCA 2021 Women’s Collegiate Senior All-Star Team
Platteville, Wis.-Senior Maiah Domask, of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team, has been selected to the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association (WBCA) 2021 Women’s Collegiate Senior All-Star Team. Games were scheduled to be played in Roanoke, Virginia, but cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The selection adds to a list of postseason accolades Domask has earned. The Waupun, Wisconsin native led the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in rebounding for a second straight year and was second in scoring.

"What an honor for Maiah to be chosen as a member of the Women's Collegiate Senior All-Star game (presented by the WBCA)," head women's basketball coach Kelly McNiff said. "She has worked extremely hard on her game throughout her career and it is awesome to see that hard work recognized and rewarded. It is also great for UW-Platteville women's basketball; talented players have, do and will continue to play here."
Domask averaged a double-double for the year, scoring 15.3 points a game and pulling down 11.6 boards a game. Domask recorded a double-double in seven of the nine contests in the shortened 2021 season. She scored a season high 22 points vs. UW-Oshkosh and pulled down a season high 15 boards in three separate contests.
Domask became the 11th member of the 1,000-career point club on Feb. 20 when she scored on a lay-up with a little over five minutes left vs. UW-Whitewater. For her career, Domask has scored 1,042 points and pulled down 734 rebounds.
Domask was named a Division III All-American honorable mention, named to the D3hoops.com All-Midwest Region team, first team All-WIAC, and named the WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar Athlete of the year for women's basketball in 2021.
Domask is majoring in psychology and Spanish, with a minor in coaching. She plans to use NCAA's fifth year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 pandemic and return for the 2021-22 season.
