Pioneers end year with road loss
The 2017-18 season came to an end for UW-Platteville Saturday with a 75-61 loss at UW-River Falls in the Falcons' new Page Arena.

The 2017-18 season came to an end for UW-Platteville Saturday with a 75-61 loss at UW-River Falls in the Falcons' new Page Arena.
Kassie Hansen led the Pioneers with 15 points, while Jai Clemons scored 10 and Miranda Meland eight. Coach Megan Wilson's club had 11 players see at least 10 minutes of floor time in the finale. UW-Platteville held a 21-19 lead after one quarter, but the Falcons outscored the visitors 26-12 in the second quarter and maintained the lead throughout the rest of the contest.
Brianna Koop (19), Taylor Karge (17) and Brynn Liljander (16) combined for 52 of UWRF's 75 points.
The Pioneers conclude the season with a 6-19 record, including 2-12 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Falcons will take 16-9, 7-7 records into next week's conference tournament.
The Pioneers will bid goodbye to five seniors: Blaire Lutes, Jalen Knowlton, Sydnei Smith, Abby Luedtke, and Amber Williams.
