PLATTEVILLE, Wis. —The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team fell to the UW-Oshkosh Titans 83-51 on Saturday at UW-Oshkosh, falling to 4-9 on the season.
Junior Morgan Hartman and freshman Morgan Horstman played well for the Pioneers, logging ten and eight points apiece in the loss.
After a slow start to the first quarter, the Pioneers found themselves down 21-8 heading into the second quarter. The Titans came out with a 12-2 run in the second quarter, boosting them to a 45-14 lead at the half.
The Pioneers picked up their offensive efforts in the second half, scoring 19 points in the third quarter and 18 in the fourth, but the early Titan lead was too much to overcome.
The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 13 against UW-Stevens Point at Williams Fieldhouse at 7:00 p.m.
