Clark, Cropp, and Krajco earn All-WIAC honors
Juniors Stacy Clark, Rachel Cropp and Alyssa Krajco were selected to the 2013-14 All-WIAC Women’s Basketball Team, the league office announced on Tuesday.
MADISON, Wis. – Juniors Stacy Clark, Rachel Cropp and Alyssa Krajco were selected to the 2013-14 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Basketball Team, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Clark and Krajco were named first team all-conference, marking the second time that two Pioneers garnered first team honors. Krajco ranked second in the WIAC in scoring with 17 points per contest and third in rebounding with 7.4 boards per game. Clark led the WIAC with a 53.8 field goal percentage and finished third in scoring (16.5 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (7.3 rpg).
Krajco's 442 points was the seventh most in a season in school history and Clark's 430 point put her eighth on the list. The dynamic duo totaled 872 points for the most point scored by a pair of teammates in program history.
Cropp earned honorable mention honors and ranked in the top 15 in five WIAC statistical categories. The Verona, Wis. native was second in the league in three-pointers made (50) and percentage (46.3%). She ranked ninth in assists (76), 10th in steals (41) and 15th in scoring (279).
The three juniors led the Pioneers to a 13-13 record, the most wins since 2004-05. UW-Platteville ended league play 7-9 tied for fourth, best finish since 1989-90.
Senior Melissa Carmody was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team for her display of exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.
