Clark's double-double leads the way

WISCONSIN DELL, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team earned a second half comeback from behind victory over Simpson College, 55-52, Saturday at the JustAGame Fieldhouse in the Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
Junior Stacy Clark led all scorers with 19 points and added 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year. Clark went 9-for-10 from the free throw line and shot 5-for-9 from the field. Fellow junior Alyssa Krajco scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the only other Pioneer to score in double figures.
UW-Platteville jumped out to a quick 11-4 lead before the Storm made their own run to make it a two point game with 13:37 left in the first half. Simpson managed to take a 25-23 lead with just over seven minutes till halftime, and took a 34-30 advantage into the break.
The Pioneers used a 9-2 run midway through the second half, regaining the lead, 42-41. UW-Platteville would then never allow the Storm retake the lead. SC made it a one-point game, 53-52, with 26 seconds left, but Clark sealed the Pioneer victory with a pair of free throws with five seconds to go.
UW-Platteville wraps up its weekend on Sunday when they take on Lake Forest at 11:30 a.m.
