Lexus Lovan joined the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Track and Field staff as a full-time Assistant Coach in July of 2022 and enters her 3rd season with the Pioneers leading the men’s and women’s sprinters.

In her first two years at UW-Platteville, Lovan coached her student-athletes to an impressive list of accomplishments including leading the women’s 4x100m relay to a school record.

Lovan made the move to UW-Platteville after serving as a Graduate Assistant Track and Field Coach at the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. She coached multiple events including sprints, relays, and jumps while working with the Marauders.  In addition, she managed social media and recruiting. Under her guidance, she led the Marauders to several All-American and All-Conference Honors.

Lovan was a two-time NCAA DII National Qualifier in the long jump, contributed to two Women’s Northern Sun Conference Championships titles,  broke the indoor long jump record that stood since 1998, and became the 2021 NSIC Outdoor Long Jump Champion.

Before her time at University of Mary, she spent her academic and athletic career at Graceland University. As a former Yellow Jacket, she became a 9x NAIA National Qualifier, a 4x All-American in the long jump and a 1x All-American in the 60m. Lovan’s accolades include Heart Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Most Points Scored Award at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, and the indoor school record holder in the 60m.
