Pioneers Host UW-Platteville Invitational Friday

Men's Highlights
Senior Cole Stugelmeyer won the 110m hurdles, posting a time of 14.79 seconds. In the 100m, senior Cade VanHout placed fourth overall, running 10.89 seconds.
In his season debut, sophomore Will Lawrence won the javelin with a personal best toss of 66.17m. The mark breaks his own school record of 66.03m and sits second in NCAA DIII this season. The throw is also a new facility record, breaking Wisconsin's Derek Steinbach's mark of 66.13m which was set 11 years prior to the day.
Senior Justin Eichler was the runner-up in the hammer, tossing a mark of 57.23m. He also finished third in the discus at 49.09m and 10th in the shot put at 14.35m. Freshman McKade Jelinek took fourth in the discus with a mark of 47.98. Senior Ben Veverka scored in the shot put, throwing 14.62m for eighth.
Two Pioneers scored in the high jump, with junior Daniel Inyang finishing fourth at 1.98m. Freshman Gavin Ralph posted a new PR in the event with a jump of 1.93m to take eighth.
Senior Jason Voelker ran personal-best in the 1500m, finishing 11th with a time of 4:05.86.
Women's Highlights
The Pioneers 4x100m relay team of Ashleigh Adamson, Madison Ahrens, Shannon Wulf, and Savannah Morgan finished fourth behind a time of 49.15 seconds.
Freshman Delanee Klaas ran a PR time of 16.30 in the 100m hurdles to finish fifth overall. Junior Kayla Lipsey ran the 400m hurdles and finished 10th with a time of 1:12.78.
In the 800m, senior Kaitlyn Galgon took fourth, running a time of 2:16.85.
Sophomore Brenna Noon recorded a third-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 14.07m.
Freshman Ella Mackiewicz placed fifth in the high jump at 1.57m while senior Grace Elvert narrowly missed scored with a ninth-place finish at 1.57m.
Junior Alexis Healey finished just shy of a PR in the long jump at 5.25m to take ninth in the event. In the triple jump freshman Malina Koepp finished 10th at 10.59 while sophomore Lizzie Andrews posted a PR mark of 10.44m for 11th.
The Pioneers head to the Augustana Meet of Champions next weekend in Rock Island, Ill. The meet will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday and continue at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
