Personal bests, school records, and a facility record drop at Sol Butler Classic
Dubuque, Iowa - The UW-Platteville track and field team competed at the Sol Butler Classic hosted by the University of Dubuque on Friday, February 18. Student-athletes, coaches, and spectators took part in recognizing Black History Month. Several personal best marks and times were set, as were school records and a facility record.

Student-athletes, coaches, and spectators took part in recognizing Black History Month. Several personal best marks and times were set, as were school records and a facility record.
Gwen Orr continued to make her mark on Pioneer history, shaving off 0.02 from her 60m dash record. Orr ran 7.74 seconds in the final heat, taking second place to Loras College's Marion Edwards. Her 60m time ranks ninth in NCAA DIII national rankings. Orr shaved down her school record in the 200m dash too, running 25.49 seconds to take second place. Her 200m time ranks 11th in the nation currently.
Cade VanHout wrote his name into the University of Dubuque facility records, crossing the 60m dash line in 6.87 seconds. VanHout won the 60m dash finals with this time.
Caleb Christiansen won the 3,000m run with a personal best time of 8:52.80. Troy Humpal took seventh in the event with a personal best also, 9:03.35.
Kirstie Ramsey won the mile with a lifetime best time of 5:18.11. Caitlin Gorge also ran a personal best, but in the 3,000m. She won the event with a time of 11:14.10.
Adam Wildman won the long jump, measuring a jump of 6.95m (22-9.75). Wildman ranks fifth in WIAC standings.
Bryce Bierman saw a clearance at 2.05m (6-8.75) again during the high jump, winning the event. He is tied for the fifth highest jump in NCAA DIII national rankings.
Kelli Schneider achieved a lifetime best mark in the triple jump, measuring 11.02m (36-2). Schneider took fourth overall. She is tied for the seventh furthest jump in the WIAC standings.

Tyler Doering – Personal best 800m, 1:59:90, 7th place.
Cole Stugelmeyer – Ran 8.46 seconds in the 60m hurdles finals, 3rd place.
Jacob Rice – Ran 8.52 seconds in the preliminaries of 60m hurdles, 4th place in finals.
Jarrod Vis and Evan Klinkner – Cleared a personal best mark of 4.35m (14-3.25) in the pole vault, taking 3rd and 4th place respectively.

Lindsey Barnes – Ran a personal best time in the 400m dash, 1:03.97, 10th place.
Grace Elvert – Personal best high jump of 1.60m (5-3), tied for 3rd place.
Jordan Meciej – Won the pole vault with a jump of 3.40m (11-1.75).
Alexis Healey – Long jumped 5.00m (16-5), 7th place.
Lizzie Andrews – Marked 10.21m (33-6) in the triple jump, 7th place.
Lydia Helle – Threw a personal best in the shot put, 11.46m (37-7.25), 5th place.
Clare Beck – Threw a personal best in the weight throw, 13.56m (44-6), 7th place.
