Pioneers compete well at NCC Cardinal Classic
The UW-Platteville track and field teams had good showings at NCC Cardinal Classic

The Pioneer men's and women's track and field teams had solid performances at the NCC Cardinal Classic in Naperville, Ill.
The men's team placed third out of six teams, while the women's team finished fourth of six teams
Men's Results
In the 60-meter hurdles, T.J. Valley finished first with a time of 8.31 seconds, while Austin Llloyd finished fourth at 8.41.
Mitchell Dowell took second in the 60-meter dash at 7.02, and Caleb Mertens finished fifth at 7.14 seconds.
In the mile-run, Joel Walden (4:24.06) and Matt Smaga (4:24.65) took third and fourth, respectively.
Adam Lange took second in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.52.
In the weight throw, Wyatt Scheck finished sixth with a throw of 14.60 meters (47-11.00) and Kyle Whaley also took sixth in the shot put with a toss of 14.49 meters (47-06.50).
Darrell Simms and Matt Brendemihl took seond and third, respectively, in the triple jump.
In the high jump, Ace McCarty took fifth at 1.92 meters (6-03.50).
Women's Results
Caitlin Thomson (1.69 meters / 5-06.50) took first and Alyssa Iserman (1.59 meters / 5-02.50) took second in the high jump, earning 18 team points for the Pioneers.
Krysta Parson finished third in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 8.15 seconds.
Amber Williams took first in the long jump with a bound of 5.25 meters (17-02.72). In the 400-meter run, Williams finished fourth at 1:00.34.
Kelsey Reed took sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.34.
In the triple jump, Jessica Jentz took fourth with a bound of 10.30 meters (33-09.50).
