CLERMONT, Fla. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team dropped a pair of games Thursday. The Pioneers (5-7) fell 18-0 to Defiance College (4-6) and 3-0 to Hamilton College (5-0).
In game one, the Yellow Jackets kept the Pioneers' bats quiet holding a 19-3 hit advantage in the five innings. Defiance managed to put up four runs in each of the first four innings and two in the final frame. Rachel Plautz went 2-2 in the game as leadoff and five different Pioneers teamed together in the circle in attempt to slow the Jackets hitting.

Hamilton got on the board in the 2nd inning with a homerun to score one run. The Continentals doubled the lead in the 3rd inning and scored one final run in the 5th. McKenna Rommel (2-3) started off the game in the circle and suffered the loss allowing four hits in two innings.
