Pioneers drop two to Titans
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued the WIAC season against UW Oshkosh on Saturday. The host Titans won the opener 10-6 and the nightcap 5-0.

OSHKOSH, Wis.—The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued the WIAC season against UW Oshkosh on Saturday. The host Titans won the opener 10-6 and the nightcap 5-0.
Thiena Wegner had three hits, and Samantha Schmidt allowed just one hit in 4.2 innings of relief pitching to highlight the Pioneers' day. Jessy Tanel and Emily Woodford scored in the first inning, Kayla Kampmeier in the second, Hailey Truman and Tanel in the fourth, and Madison Melms in the fifth inning. The Titans scored six runs in the first inning and four in the second inning.
Game two was another match ending in a seven-inning game. The Titans scored twice in second, once in the third, and twice again in the fifth innings. Two Titan pitchers combined to hold the Pioneers to a pait of hits. UW Oshkosh improved to 18-4 overall and 1-0 in the WIAC.
The Pioneers, now 6-16 overall and 1-5 in the WIAC, will travel to play against University of Dubuque on Monday, April 10 in Dubuque, Iowa.
