The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued its season with one win and loss at Lincoln Park in Tucson, Arizona against MacMurray College and Stevens Institute of Technology on March 15. The Pioneers won the opener 7-6 and the Steven’s Ducks won the nightcap 9-6.

TUCSON, Arizona—The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued its season with one win and loss at Lincoln Park in Tucson, Arizona against MacMurray College and Stevens Institute of Technology on March 15. The Pioneers won the opener 7-6 and the Steven's Ducks won the nightcap 9-6.
Emily Woodford, Kayla Kampmeier and Jessy Tanel scored three runs in the first inning, and Crystal Rote scored one run in the third inning of game one. Madison Melms, Hailey Truman, and Woodford scored a run in the fourth inning. The Highlanders scored two runs in the first inning and three in the second and one in the fourth inning.
Game two against the Loggers ended in a five-inning game. Tanel and Kampmeier scored one run in the first inning. Crystal Rote scored one in the fourth inning, and Ciera Keller hit a home run in the fourth inning. Kampmeier and Woodford both scored a run in the sixth inning. The Steven's Ducks scored two runs in the first, four in the third, and three in the fourth inning.
Coach Andie Varsho takes her Pioneers on the field again on Saturday, March 25 in Meqoun, Wisconsin.
