Pioneers split first day in Arizona
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued its season with one loss and one win at Lincoln Park in Tucson, Arizona against Central Iowa University and Augsburg University on Saturday, March 11. The Dutch won the opener 12-3 and the Pioneers won the nightcap 8-2.

TUCSON, Az —The University of Wisconsin-Platteville softball team continued its season with one loss and one win at Lincoln Park in Tucson, Arizona against Central Iowa University and Augsburg University on Saturday, March 11. The Dutch won the opener 12-3 and the Pioneers won the nightcap 8-2.
Emily Woodford scored the first runs in the first inning. Daielle Dieckhoff and Kayla Kampmeier scored the last runs in the fourth inning. The Dutch scored four runs in the first inning, five runs in the second, one run in the third, and two runs in the fourth innings.
Game two against the Auggies was the Pioneers' first win of the season. The Pioneers put up two runs in the first inning, two runs in the second, and four runs in the third inning. The Red Devils scored once in the first and sixth innings.
