UW-Oshkosh won a tight 4-2 game over host UW-Platteville in the opener then took the second contest 8-0 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader Friday afternoon.

UW-Oshkosh won a tight 4-2 game over host UW-Platteville in the opener then took the second contest 8-0 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader Friday afternoon.
Both teams scored two runs in the first inning, with Dakota Stout singling home a run up the middle for the Pioneers. The Titans' Elizabeth Folk broke the tie, tripling home a run in the second. She added an RBI single in the fourth.
Jess Butzen threw a complete-game for the Pioneers, scattering nine hits. UWO's Sara Brunlieb allowed seven hits in her seven innings.
Clare Robbe held the Pioneers to two hits over seven innings in the nightcap. The Titans put the game away with four runs in the final inning.
UWO improved to 25-7, 10-2 in the WIAC, while the Pioneers fell to 4-24, 1-11. UW-Platteville is scheduled to play two games at UW-River Falls Saturday, weather permitting.
