On day three of the Rebel Games, the University of
Wisconsin-Platteville softball team dropped a 1-0 decision to Rowan
and a 7-1 loss to Claremont-Mudd Scripps on Tuesday.
In the 5-0 loss to Rowan, the Pioneers were held to just one hit
by Nathalie Schattner. Rowan scored four times in the second inning
in the win.
In the 7-1 loss to Claremont-Mudd Scripps, the visitors plated
three runs in the first and third innings in the win. The Pioneers
got their lone run in the seventh when they took advantage of a
Claremont-Mudd Scripps error after back-to-back singles.
The Pioneers (3-5) will wrap up its participation at the Rebel
Games on Wednesday when they face Roger
Williams at 9 a.m. and Rutgers-Camden at 11 a.m. in Kissimmee,
Florida.
