Probst Earns Academic All-District Honors
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Ben Probst of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team was named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team it was announced on Tuesday.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Ben Probst of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team it was announced on Tuesday.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their performances both on the field and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and be in sophomore, junior, or senior standing.
Probst, a finance major, has a 3.735 cumulative GPA and averaged 10.5 points per game while staring all 29 contests. The senior reached the 1,000 career points plateau early in the season and later broke the UW-Platteville program record for three-point makes. The All-WIAC Honorable Mention was named the WIAC Max Sparger Scholar Athlete following the season and totaled a season-high 26 points with a program record eight made threes in a win over Augustana in November.
Probst was also selected as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-America team, which will be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 15.
