Pearson Tabbed NABC First Team All-American
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – For the second consecutive season, senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team was named a NABC First Team All-American it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – For the second consecutive season, senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named a NABC First Team All-American it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Pearson becomes the Pioneers first back-to-back All-American since Jeff Skemp, who earned the honors in 2008 and 2009. The Kimberly native becomes the first player in program history to collect multiple First Team All-American awards.
Pearson, who was tabbed District and Region Player of the Year yesterday, adds another award to his already impressive resume. The senior has appeared on several postseason awards watch lists, while earning his second straight WIAC Player of the Year behind a conference-leading 19.8 points per game. Pearson etched his name in the UW-Platteville record books multiple times over the course of the season, becoming the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,112 career points and breaking the record for most career field goals made with 763. He shot the ball effectively from all over the floor and finished 13th in the WIAC in rebounds per game (4.9) and fifth in assists per game (2.9).
Finishing his career sixth in WIAC history in total points scored, Pearson averaged 18.2 points per game across his 116 games played. He helped the Pioneers win back-to-back WIAC regular season and conference tournament titles over the past two seasons and competed in three NCAA DIII Tournaments, including UW-Platteville's run to the Elite Eight in 2024. Over his five seasons, Pearson and the Pioneers went 96-28, including 47-16 in conference play.
