Pearson Named To Hudgins Award Top 25 Watch List

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named to the 2024-25 Trevor Hudgins Top 25 Watch List the National Awards Committee and Small College Basketball announced.
The award, named in honor of Northwest Missouri State's Trevor Hudgins, is presented to the senior who has had the best overall four- or five-year career within Small College Basketball. Hudgins had a fantastic college career, leading the Bearcats to three consecutive NCAA DII National Championships.
Pearson, who earned NABC National Player of the Year last in 2023-24, has continued his high level of play this season. The Kimberly native has led the Pioneers to a 17-2 record to begin 2024-25, including a 7-1 mark in conference play while averaging 20.8 points per game. Pearson became the program's all-time leading scorer on January 15 against UW-Eau Claire and has now started 102 of the 106 career games he has played.
Across his career, Pearson is averaging 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. The 2023-24 WIAC Player of the Year has been an effective shooter from all over the floor, posting career shooting splits of 50.0/35.7/82.5.
Pearson is one of 25 players on the initial watch list, which will be shortened to 15 on March 1. The finalists will be released on April 5, with the award winner being announced through a video presentation on Monday, April 7, at halftime of the NCAA DI National Championship Game.
