Pearson Recognized As NABC Player Of The Year
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team was named 2023-24 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III Player of the Year it was announced on Thursday morning.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named 2023-24 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III Player of the Year it was announced on Thursday morning.
Pearson is the second player in program history to be named NABC Player of the Year, joining Merrill Brunson, who collected the award in 1999.
The accolades keep on coming for Pearson, who earned NABC All-America First Team honors yesterday after being named District and Region Player of the Year earlier this week. The Kimberly native was tabbed WIAC Player of the Year following a season that saw him average team-highs in points (23.1), rebounds (6.2), and assists (2.9) per game. Pearson broke the UW-Platteville single season record for total points with 692 while posting an impressive shooting line of 48.4/41.1/85.5.
Other postseason honors for Pearson include being named to the Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List as well as being one of 10 finalists for the 2024 Jostens Trophy.
