Pearson Named To Bevo Francis Top 50 Watch List

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Senior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named to the 2023-24 Bevo Francis Award Top 50 Watch List it was announced on Thursday.

The Clarence "Bevo" Francis Award is presented each year to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will include season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character, and team achievements.

Pearson has proven to be one of the top scorers in the country as his 23.1 points per game is sixth in NCAA DIII and second in the WIAC. The Kimberly, Wisconsin native is shooting 49.2 percent from the floor and boasts top three WIAC marks in both three-point (46.0 percent) and free throw (84.6 percent). Pearson paces the Pioneers with 6.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game and has recorded three double-doubles. The senior has scored at least 20 points in 16 games, including a season-high 38 in a three-point road win over UW-La Crosse on January 27.

The Top 25 list for the Bevo Francis Award will be released on March 15.
