Pearson Earns Pair of Postseason Awards

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Junior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was named to the 2022-23 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III District 9 Second Team and D3hoops All-Region 9 Second Team it was announced on Tuesday.

Pearson led the WIAC in scoring, averaging 20.2 points per game while posting a shooting split of 48.2 percent from the floor, 36.2 percent from three, and 81.3 percent at the line. The junior led the team with 5.7 rebounds per game, which ranked seventh in the conference, and dished out a team-leading 2.8 assists per contest, good for third in the WIAC. The Kimberly native scored 20 or more points in 15 games, including 30 or more four times. Against Concordia Moorhead on December 29, Pearson tallied a season-high 35 points on 14-of-18 shooting while adding eight rebounds, three steals, and two blocks. In a 34-point Pioneers win over UW-River Falls on February 11, Pearson scored 32 points on 10-of-13 shooting in just 25 minutes.
