Pearson named to Bevo Francis Top-100 Watch List
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Junior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team was recently named a top-100 finalist for the 2023 Bevo Francis Awards, announced by Small College Basketball.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Junior Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team was recently named a top-100 finalist for the 2023 Bevo Francis Awards, announced by Small College Basketball.
It is the first time being named to the watch list for the Kimberly, Wisconsin native. Pearson sits second overall in the WIAC averaging 19.5 points per game. The Pioneer has started all 17 games for UW-Platteville, averaging 30.7 minutes per game. Pearson scored a career best 35 points in the team's 81-65 victory over Concordia Moorhead at the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas earlier this season.
The award was established in 2015 and is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. The list will be narrowed down as the season progresses with the winner announced on April 3.
The top-100 list features student-athletes from NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA, USCAA and NCCAA. Pearson is one of three athletes from the WIAC to be named to the list.
