Pioneers’ Shields named to NABC Reese’s Division III College All-Star Game
Platteville, Wis.- Senior Quentin Shields, of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team, was recently selected to participate in the 2022 National Association of Basketball Coaches Reese’s Division III College All-Star game. Shields is the lone WIAC student-athlete selected to the all-star game.

Shields is the lone WIAC student-athlete selected to the all-star game.
The contest will be held at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m. Shields will be on Team Edwards, coached by former Washington University head coach Mark Edwards.
Shields started all 28 games for the Pioneers and led the team with 15.4 points per contest. The senior from Chicago, Illinois, shot 42.1% from the floor and 83.3% from the free throw line. Shields averaged 3.6 assist and finished the year with a 2.0 assist to turnover ratio.
Shields, a pre-season fourth team All-American by d3hoops.com, is a four-time All-WIAC selection. He was honorable mention as a true freshman and first team the last three seasons.
Shields led the Pioneers to 96 wins in five seasons, four NCAA Division III Tournaments, three regular season WIAC championships and two WIAC Tournament championships. He finished second on the Pioneer all-time list in career-points with 1,671.
