Pioneers handle Lakers with ease

Following a 35 point win Wednesday night against Illinois Tech the University of Wisconsin-Platteville won by 39 Saturday night. With an 87-48 win over Silver Lake, four of the six Pioneer wins this season have come by 30 or more points.
The Pioneers (6-1) held the Lakers (1-8) to just 19 first half points on 7-of-24 shooting. UW-Platteville on the other hand shot 46.9% in the first half including six 3-pointers and held a 42-19 halftime advantage. The Pioneers didn't let up as they shot 60% from the field in the second half.
Robert Duax led UW-Platteville in scoring with 11 points in just 12 minutes of action. Matt Oestreich and Tanner Hudziak each scored 10, a career high for Hudziak. Colin Kramper had a team high five rebounds and season high nine points, shooting 5-for-5 from the field.
Dorsey Dreshawn led all scoreres with 16 for the Lakers.
UW-Platteville has the week off before playing host to Hope College Friday night at 7 p.m. in Williams Fieldhouse.
