Stocki receives WIAC Men's Basketball Weekly honor

MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Jim Stocki was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Stocki led the Pioneers to a 2-0 record for the week, beating Coe College (Iowa) 80-51 on Nov. 15, and Ripon College (Wis.) 78-66 on Nov. 16, and was named the Gabe Miller Tip-off Classic MVP. Against the Kohawks, Stocki scored a game-high 17 points, and recorded four rebounds. He totaled 14 points, eight boards and three assists against Ripon. Stocki went 5-8 from beyond the arc and ended the week shooting 54.5 percent from the field.
Stocki and the Pioneers return to the hardwood on Friday at 8 p.m. when they host Principia.
