Blake Fryar joins the Pioneers staff in 2025 and will serve as the Wide Receivers Coach. Fryar joins the team after serving as the Quality Control Coach for the past two seasons at the University of South Dakota.

Prior to his time at South Dakota, Fryar was a standout quarterback at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. There he threw for more than 3,500 yards and 40 touchdowns across 45 games. He earned Honorable Mention All-GPAC honors as a junior in 2021 and served as the team captain as a senior in 2022.

The Waukee, Iowa native starred at Van Meter High School where he led the Bulldogs to the 1A State Championships and a perfect 13-0 record his senior year. He threw for 1,728 yards and 17 touchdowns while rushing for another 583 yards and six scores. Fryar wrapped up his high school career with a 24-1 record under center and was also an All-Conference basketball player.
