Pioneer Football primed for playoffs

The seventh-ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team hosts Concordia University in the first round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship (Wis.) on Saturday at 12 p.m. in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers received one of the five at-large bids to the 2013 NCAA Division III Football Championships. This is the Pioneers first appearance in the NCAA playoffs. The last time UW-Platteville made the postseason playoffs was in 1970, when the Pioneers fell to Texas A&I in the NAIA Playoffs.
With a win on Saturday the Pioneers would go 10-1, tying the program win's record, and would go 5-0 in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium for the first time in school history.
