Pioneer Football hosts Concordia in NCAA III playoffs
The UW-Platteville football team received one of the five at-large bids to the 2013 NCAA Division III Football Championships on Sunday. The Pioneers will host Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday, Nov. 23 at noon in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team received one of the five at-large bids to the 2013 NCAA Division III Football Championships. The Pioneers will host Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 12 p.m. in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers will be playing in the NCAA playoffs for the first time in school history after finishing the regular season 9-1.
Concordia earned the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference's automatic bid after winning the league outright with an undefeated 6-0 record.
Tickets for the first-round match-up between the Pioneers and the Falcons will be available at 9 a.m. on Monday. Contact the UW-Platteville Athletic office at (608) 342-1567 for more information. Adult tickets are $10, seniors (62 and older) are $8 and college students and children (17 and under) are $4 a piece.
