Nick Snyder Named WIAC Defensive Player of the Week

University of Wisconsin-Platteville junior Nick Snyder, a linebacker from Mt. Morris, Illinois, was named the WIAC Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for his performance in the Pioneers' 31-21 win over UW-Eau Claire. Snyder had a game-high 11 tackles with a pass break-up on a defense that shut down the UW-Eau Claire offense in a 31-21 victory for the Pioneers. The Pioneer defense held the Blugolds to eight first downs (four of which came via penalty) and 154 yards in the final three quarters.

Next, Snyder and the Pioneers travel to UW-Stout on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m.
