Ryan McWethy Named WIAC Defensive Player of the Week

Ryan McWethy, a junior defensive back from Oregon, Illinois, was named the WIAC (Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 12-18 on Tuesday.

McWethy led the Pioneer defense with 12 tackles, including nine solo stops in a 23-14 loss to No. 7-ranked Wheaton College (Ill.). He also was involved in 2.5 tackles for loss for a negative six yards.

Next, McWethy and the Pioneers begin WIAC play on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they host UW-La Crosse at Pioneer Stadium at 1 p.m.
