Beau. High school buddies gave it to me.

Who are the role models in your life and why?
My grandfather and my parents teaching me what hard work is all about.

Who or what inspired you to play baseball and why?
My older brother Clayton introduced me to baseball.

Favorite baseball moment as a Pioneer or in high school if you are a freshman?
Pitching in the regional championship my senior year of high school.

If you were a superhero what would your name be and what superpower would you have?
Freaky Fast. Super speed

I have to wear my lucky socks.

Kelso sets new career and season hits records in regular season finale

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Junior Jonathan Kelso set new University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball records for both career hits and single season hits during the WIAC doubleheader against UW-Stevens Point at Kendall Murray Field. While the Pointers won with an 11-4 decision in game one and 6-2 victory in the nightcap, Kelso finished the day at 196 career hits with 68 hits this season. Ross Bennett (2005-08) previously held the career hits record with 195 while Ryan Levendoski set the previous season hits record of 64 in 2004.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team took two more games from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Saturday by scores of 16-6 in the opener and 14-0 in the nightcap. The doubleheader at Kendall Murray Field completes the eight-game sweep of the Blugolds and improves the Pioneers to 14-12 and 8-8 in the WIAC while Eau Claire falls to 4-20 and 4-12 in the league. In all, the Pioneers hammered out 28 hits, 30 runs and 19 RBIs across the doubleheader.
